Remote Patient Monitoring, Hospital at Home, and Telehealth digital health categories feature best available solutions to deliver patient care remotely
ATLANTA, October 4, 2022 — Panda Health Inc., the digital health marketplace, has announced the launch of new categories designed to help hospitals and health systems better provide a full continuum of patient care through health at home initiatives.
The Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Hospital at Home, and Telehealth solution categories available on Panda’s marketplace will scale from those supporting light-touch virtual visits to those enabling more in-depth acute care services within the home. These solution categories will make it faster and easier for health systems to find, evaluate, and contract with digital health solution providers that support the growing need for health at home services.
“The emergence of new technologies and solution capabilities are creating care delivery models that enable patients to easily access and receive healthcare services beyond the hospital walls.” said David Harvey, CEO of Panda Health. “Services such as telehealth and RPM are here to stay, and we recognize the importance of assisting our customers with the process of evaluating vendors in this space and re-evaluating their current offerings to ensure they are thriving in this area.”
Health systems can meet accelerating consumer preferences and expectations, which were magnified during the recent pandemic, by delivering quality health services within a patient’s home.
In addition, expanded primary care competition, evolving reimbursements, and government mandates are also driving the need for more care to be delivered in the home. Forward-looking hospitals are increasingly cognizant of broadening their care footprints in this area.
To date, the offerings featured in Panda’s health at home categories include:
Remote Patient Monitoring: These solutions enable health systems to virtually monitor patient health status—such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight—within the home. Clinicians can access this patient-generated health data, containing care costs and reducing hospitalizations. Panda Awarded Suppliers include Carium, CareSimple, Impilo, Optimize Health, Stel, and Zyter.
Hospital at Home: These solutions enable patients to be monitored beyond traditional clinical settings by capturing pertinent vitals and data to manage a patient’s illness as an inpatient but in the comfort of their home. Clinicians can view patient health data on an ongoing or periodic basis, intervening when necessary. Panda Awarded Suppliers will be announced at a later date.
Telehealth: These solutions enable health systems to connect with patients virtually, such as through e-visits. Today’s consumers expect the same convenience and flexibility from their providers as they do from services in other industries. In a consumer-driven marketplace, telehealth tools are critical for providers in enhancing the care experience and attracting and retaining patients. Panda Awarded Suppliers include Doxy.me, Mend, VeeOne, VSee, Zipnosis, and Zyter.
