Role Summary

As Market Intelligence Manager, you will support Panda Health’s digital health market intelligence strategy by researching, tracking, and assessing digital health / HIT companies by category and managing the intelligence of digital health categories across the Panda category launch process and on an ongoing basis. You will work alongside the Director, Category Growth to ensure market intelligence on digital health categories and suppliers is relevant and up to date. As a key early employee at Panda, you will gain valuable experience in strategic market intelligence in an exciting and fast-growing digital health marketplace.

Your key responsibilities:

Market Intelligence (75% of time)

  • Conduct strategic primary and secondary research on the digital health / HIT landscape including (a) digital health categories and (b) digital health companies within categories
  • Keep a pulse on broader digital health market trends including macro investment trends by private equity/venture capital and spikes in supply and demand for digital innovations
  • Leverage well-known market reports and sources (such as CB Insights, KLAS, Rock Health, etc.) to gather market intel and strategically piece together key research to create a meaningful view of specific digital health categories 
  • Create and manage digital health market intelligence decks throughout the lifecycle of a Panda category, including initial gathering of market intelligence all the way to ongoing updates and additions after the launch of a category on the Panda marketplace
  • Create and maintain digital health intelligence profiles within category intelligence decks to ensure individual company information is accurate and remains up to date
  • Support in the strategic alignment of digital health companies to distinct use cases identified within categories based on intel gathered 
  • Lead the design and launch of market intelligence research studies (qualitative and quantitative) to determine success rate, market share, and other critical data points of digital health suppliers
  • Assist the Director, Category Growth in the development of market and buyer briefs for defined digital health categories to build intelligence competency internally and with health system buyers
  • Collaborate and inform Director, Category Growth of relevant market updates about specific categories and/or companies to ensure essential information is communicated in a timely manner
  • Support and partner with the Marketplace Operations team to ensure knowledge transfer of market intelligence occurs in a seamless and timely manner during the category launch process
  • Serve as point of contact for intelligence support for the Marketplace Operations team during the category launch process as well as during health system buyer pitches
  • Attend relevant industry conferences and virtual sessions, conduct live demos with suppliers, and interview relevant stakeholders to further obtain market intelligence needed for digital health categories

Supplier Management (25%)

  • Develop contacts with potential digital health companies in the industry through phone, email, and in-person visits (if needed), in collaboration with the Director, Category Growth
  • Become a trusted source and partner for digital health companies by forming new and maintaining existing relationships with digital health company stakeholders
  • Support Director, Category Growth in managing sales touchpoints with digital health companies, including emailing, scheduling, and sending relevant collateral at the right time
  • Leverage Panda’s customer relationship management (CRM) tool to track, schedule, and manage all contacts and touchpoints with digital health companies
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Panda services, features and value to answer specific digital health company questions
  • Create new and leverage existing sales collateral specific to digital health sales and growth

As a Marketing Intelligence Manager, you need to develop strong relationships with the following Stakeholders:

  • Internal:
    • Chief Growth Officer
    • Director, Category Growth
    • Director of Sales Enablement
    • Directors/Managers of Marketplace Operations
  • External:
    • Digital Health company strategic partnerships resources


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health, technology, communications, or related field.  
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare / digital health / HIT industry
  • Practical experience working in one or more areas of digital health including mobile medical apps, digital therapeutics, HIT, remote monitoring / wearables, personalized healthcare, or telemedicine
  • Demonstrated success in gathering, managing, and assessing market intelligence / research
  • Experience/familiarity with maintaining a critical sales information by leveraging a CRM tool or other similar methodology
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. You should feel comfortable speaking to digital health leaders as a market intelligence expert for digital health categories.
